Branding

About Prep’d:
Prep’d, a new food app, offers a new experience in the Kingdom, designed to bridge the gap between passionate chefs and food enthusiasts. Not only can users discover talented chef influencers, but they can also directly order their signature dishes, bringing a new personalized dining experience right to their doorstep.
Objective:
Develop a brand identity that not only represented the company's core values but also distinguished it from the competitive Saudi market.
Starting from a blank slate, we embarked on a comprehensive branding journey, starting with the name and then developing the complete visual identity.
We collaborated closely with the client to establish a clear design direction through extensive mood board exploration and visualized various aesthetic possibilities, ensuring that the final design aligned seamlessly with the brand's overall vision and aspirations.
Logo concept & rationale
A typographic logo design was created bridging simplicity with character, bringing forward the role of the chefs and their personal touches shown by mixing 2 fonts, highlighting the cursive font at the end of the word that adds an extra layer of visual interest.
The brand identity is crafted both in English and Arabic maintaining the same visual language and flow.
Brand Expression
Prep’d embodies a bold and confident persona, with a touch of poise. Its attention-grabbing character is reflected in its visual style and tone of voice. The visual style is characterized by a vibrant green primary color, complemented by secondary warm hues.
The photography style is warm and dynamic whether through food shots or through eye-catching chef portraits.
The identity is complemented by a friendly and approachable tone of voice and messaging style that incorporates subtle irony, creating a sense of warmth and intrigue which will give Prep’d an edge vis-a-vis the competition.
Lastly, to ensure a seamless integration of design and functionality, we collaborated with the development team to oversee the alignment of the app's interface with the brand identity.
We are very proud of the brand universe we created for Prep’d and look forward to seeing the brand flourish in KSA!
