For the Love of Training - Webinars for the Diaspora For Development
Spearhead’s senior team gave tailored trainings to the Diaspora For Development program.
We get a lot of satisfaction from the work that we do; if you’ve met us, you would know that. But we have to say that the gratification we get from doing trainings is in a league of its own.
From our blog and case studies, you may have noticed that we try to engage in pro-bono trainings whenever we can and we do that for many reasons: we get to meet new people and be introduced to new industries or lines or work, we get to embark in fruitful debates and conversations, we get to help those who seek marketing consultations and on a more selfish level, it helps keeps our minds fresh in a fast-changing world.
Just this past November, Spearhead’s senior team gave tailored trainings to the Diaspora For Development, a free transnational support and incubation program*, whose objective is to support Tunisians living in Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy, to successfully launch their entrepreneurial and innovative projects in Tunisia through a free incubation program.
Spearhead offered 3 separate sessions, each with its own focus:
- Marketing 101
- Introduction to Digital Marketing
- Branding in A Nutshell
Each of these sessions was followed by a Q&A as well as quick consultations.
The founders of these innovative SMEs were a great audience! They are driven and inspiring to say the least and we got to contribute, in however a small capacity, to further their vision.
Not to toot our own horn, but the feedback we always get on our trainings is that they are not generic, quite the contrary actually! They are filled with new and relevant examples, they are engaging, they are not textbook and they are followed with fun exercises that ensure that the information passed along sticks.
These trainings may be a small contribution to the bigger scheme of things, but they are our way of influencing our industry and maintaining its integrity.
*This program is implemented by Afkar Incubator as part of the Migration Progress Project – Diaspora Mobilization, supported by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung) in partnership with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises Industry, and co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
